Under .500 for the Yanks. Wow. I can honestly say that I would be surprised by that, despite the fact that I have zero expectations for this team.

                          NL East

                          Nationals
                          Braves
                          Phillies
                          Mets
                          Marlins

The Mets aren't pegged to be great, but the Marlins are a disastah. At least the mets have one or two, or even more, good players. The Marlins have Ricky Nolasco. Oi.

It's interesting that the Nationals are getting more play than the Braves, but the Braves could have a better 1-5 in the rotation, especially if Teheran takes off. I'll stay with Washington as my pick to win the East, but the Braves winning wouldn't surprise me.

                            Reds
                            Cards
                            Pirates/Brewers take your pick.
                            Cubs

Outside shot for Milwaukee, but I'm going to with the more complete team and rolling with Cincy. This is an awful division. Cardinals might be ok but they lost a few key vets that were big for their offense a year ago i.e. Furcal and Puma. That bullpen finally falls apart this year, I can feel it folks. Pirates have a promising lineup... mccutchen/alvarez... Garret/Martin will be serviceable. No pitching -- that rotation is a giant sieve.

And the Cubs... who knows? All I know is that they'll finish last.

                              NL West

                              Giants
                              Dodgers
                              Pads
                              Dbacks
                              Rockies

Watch for the Padres this year... I see 'em making a run to .500. Love their bullpen, the fences are in this year. Their offense could be making good strides. Chase Headley is a cinch all star. Dbacks... more good boppers, but again with the pitching, where is it? Ultimately this comes down to the old fashioned race: Giants v Dodgers but the Giants have it together... most of their roster is in tact, and I think they're a more proven choice. Buster Posey is the *man...* Kempsie is too, but the Dodgers are still working with a lot of parts that havent played together yet... they'll get off to a slow start. That slow start could be the difference so I'm going G-men then the Blue. Should be a good division to watch all year long.

--except for the Rockies. Talk about hopeless.
